Educational Advocacy
As a former special education instructor (K-12) I can provide information and resources for families of children K-12 who may qualify for accommodations and supports via a 504 plan which falls under Section 504 of the American's With Disabilities Act, or an  (IEP), which falls under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

As students transition from highs school to undergraduate studies or certificate programs, accommodations may still be required. I can guide students through the application process for continued supports and accommodations, which may entail updated assessments or a report from a qualified mental health practitioner. I can also assist with the application process for students who have never had accommodations in the past, who may qualify for supports at the college level.
